About Me
James T. Burr (Jim) is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Washington. He is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate of Acupuncture. Jim obtained a Masters Degree in Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute, the nation’s oldest accredited college of acupuncture, now known as the Maryland University of Integrative Health. While there, Jim studied Five Element Style acupuncture. This style focuses on treatment of emotional and spiritual issues.
During the clinic phase of his studies Jim worked with cancer patients and veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. Jim uses a blend of Five Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine style acupuncture to assist his patients. His practice focuses on pain relief, insomnia, anxiety/depression, and PTSD. He has completed Levels I, II & III of certification in Neuro-Acupuncture allowing him to treat a wide variety of neurological conditions.
